The Parade

Here we are! Ryan thinks he own the Trail right now.
Highlights from the Lost Dutchman Days Parade
Nathan holding our spot. Back off people!
Zach making the boys laugh
Emily looking on...we don't need those cheerleaders!
getting ready
Zane, Batman is on your head!
Superstition Mountain Elementary School
my alma mater and one day, Henry's school
Beautiful Calista with the glasses I will one day steal when she is not looking
Wave it Nick
Reynolds Pooper Scoopers
And yes there were some low-lights. Like the fez-wearing motorcyclists, sorry, but you came WAY to close to the sidewalk for my taste. And I love the Lord, but I do not appreciate the people on their floats proselytizing on a loud speaker in a shepherd outfit.
And this low light is for you Kevin...people on tall bikes of any kind...

Lots of candy, lots of pencils and lots of fun watching Zane, Zach & Henry!

The Bed

HENRY'S NEW BED
About two months ago we had this bed made by our friend Jose and it has been hanging out in our house waiting for a mattress. We finally bought a mattress and were waiting for it to come in to the store where we bought it. Well, that store went out of business swallowing our mattress and we thought our money. We finally did some investigative work (called the property manager), and tracked down the manager. He felt bad and gave us a mattress that was worth triple than the bed we paid for...pillow top. And after me dragging my feet, rolling my eyes, and trying to get Ryan to wait for Henry to be in college before we move him from the crib, we have fully put the bed together, sheets and all.
Henry tried about 15 times to get in the bed before we were completely done. He was beside himself rolling around and laughing and telling us to throw pillows at him.

I wish I could stay with him...so comfy

You are getting too big Henry. We love you and are so proud of you.
He is in there now--quiet, sleeping. I am just waiting for our door handle to turn and for his little head to poke through. Maybe I should go sleep on the floor in his room.

Valentine Be Mine

Our Valentine double date night. We went to Mastro's. Amazing food, atmosphere and company. It took us only about 2 1/2 hours to finish our dinner experience.
Dinner was unbelievable, but I loved seeing Henry and his Papa playing most of all. Especially this night when Henry got to read Ferdinand with Papa. El Toro Feroz!

Thank you Gelbrich's for the time spent, we cherish it.
And we miss you already!

It is all about the hearts

And this my friends is why I love working at a preschool...

and this is why i love my guys
Happy Valentine's Morning

They're Here!

Papa and Meme took us to Rainforest Cafe.
Henry LOVED it! Thankfully Papa did not get tired of walking around the restaurant with Henry boy.
Henry joyful over his frog cup that Meme sneakily purchased for him.

It was a good night! See you tomorrow!

Valentine Box

I loved Valentine's Day in elementary school. I could not wait to make my Valentine Box and handing out Valentines to my classmates, was always a proud moment. It did get a little stressful in 5th and 6th grade when I was worried boys would think I liked them, so I was VERY selective.
Ryan and Henry began the tradition together of writing out class Valentines. Henry wrote his own secret message and Ryan wrote Henry's name. Henry took this job VERY seriously. He had his favorite Disney characters on the Valentines he handed out. I loved this and so did Henry. Here's to many more years of Henry letting us help him the night before his Valentine's Day Party.
