I know I posted one of these pictures on an earlier post, but the big reveal needed befores and afters.
A couple of things I did:
- As I was putting things in the give away box, I put garage sale prices on them. Am I going to have a garage sale, I do not know, but they are ready. WILL YOU STOP LAUGHING?
- I used to work for Young Life and I have a bajillion shirts. I hate throwing them away. So I allowed myself to keep the most importants even if I do not wear them very often. I like to look at them and smile and remember freer days when I was a fun twenty-something leader. I put the other shirts in a box to give to my old club. Maybe they can use them for a vintage shirt giveaway or something. Maybe they can just throw them in the trash, but tell me they gave them away.
- I gave myself a break--something I have been working hard at for past few months. One, I am still nursing, so there are some items that do not fit, so instead of trying them on and feeling frustrated, I just kept them. Two, I only got rid of one pair of shoes, because it is not spring/summer quite yet and we just moved from AZ, so there are things I did not wear last year, but might wear now that we are back in the NW. (I am fully aware of my run-on sentences) And 3, on Wed night Will got the flu and on Thursday afternoon Henry got it--AND I STILL finished (I hear clapping!)

Henry Boy is feeling better. Doesn't he look better there than all those clothes. I think so, yes. Will it stay this way, probably not. Is there more to be done--always. I am proud of myself.
See my inspiration here, she has some good tips.

Oh my word!! Beautiful. Can't wait to see you and mama tomorrow. I just made a triple layer red velvet. Let's party!!
Way to go with the organizing! I AM impressed!
Fun to read your blog! A friend of mine had the same problem with college t-shirts from working at different universities, so she found someone to make her a t-shirt quilt so she could "save" all the shirts without having to wear them. It turned out really cute, so I thought I'd pass it along!
