Day 1

Loved Day One in the Discovery Room. It was a day filled with lots of red, white and glue...I mean blue. The day zipped by with just a few interesting detours. For instance the imaginary friend of one of my students who would not leave the room even when I asked her to, so hoping she decides not to show up tomorrow...those imaginary friends, you just can't get them to do what you want.

Loved how these turned out

And please isn't this pinwheel cool.
Kim and I helped a lot on these and they don't move as well as we would have liked them to, but they are a great decoration, I highly recommend this project.

Tomorrow is all about...

Red, White and YOU

This week at the Little Prospector Preschool, I get to be in the Discovery Room or "the Big Kid Room" and I am just giddy about it. I get to do projects with kids that can do it on their own or at least most of it. We will be making these

and these

Try them with your big or little kids. You can find the how to on marthastewart.com.
Thanks Martha girl.
I will let you know how they turn out.
We will also be reading Because of Winn Dixie. I think the themes of this book ring true for a few kids in my class.
Pray that I will know how to love these kids this week and that we have a great time together!

Isn't It Ironic?

A black fly in your chardonnay...
Is it more ironic that there actually was a fly in my mom's wine or that she kept drinking it after she got the fly out?

Speaking of Alanis Morissette, most of the things that she sings about in the Ironic song, are not really ironic. Don't you think?
Ya, I really do think!

Hot Hot Hot

Here it comes...hell weather. And I mean my personal hell. I cannot stand Arizona in the summer. I am sorry, but it makes me in a
very
very
VERY BAD MOOD
The only nice thing about Arizona summers is this...
